Elizabeth received her B.S. in Chemistry from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She completed research during her undergraduate studies under the guidance of Dr. Michael Scofield with the Medical University of South Carolina, focused on neuronal changes in rat brains in response to cocaine addiction. During her research lab experience and through extensive chemistry coursework, she found her interest in analytical techniques and developed a passion for specialization in flavor chemistry research. Currently, Elizabeth is pursuing a PhD at The Ohio State University under the guidance of Dr. Devin Peterson and FREC.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys baking, trying new coffee shops around town, playing pickleball, thrifting, and going on long walks outside.
