Biography: 

Kaden received a BS degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University. During his undergraduate studies, he was a research assistant in Dr. Xiaoguang Wang’s laboratory studying chemical and biomolecular engineering with projects focused on responsive polymeric materials for use in soft robotics. Post-graduation, Kaden was a chemist for Tedia working with analytical instrumentation to identify contaminants and purification methods to provide high purity solvents to clients. Additionally, he worked for Thermo Fisher as a raw materials chemist ensuring the chemical safety for a multitude of pharmaceuticals. His passion for chemistry and interest in the world of food led him back to Ohio State to pursue a doctoral degree with research focused on flavor chemistry. Kaden is currently a PhD student at The Ohio State University under the direction of Dr. Devin Peterson and FREC.

In his free time, Kaden enjoys traveling with his wife, running with his dog Buckeye, trying new food with his friends, and playing the guitar.
