Mechanisms of Flavor Release
Theresa bred a passion for food at a young age, growing up with authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the Midwest. She maintains her culture and traditions through food, where her family frequently recreates traditional foods like pho. During her undergraduate career, Theresa graduated with her degree in Chemistry and performed research in the inorganic chemistry lab. Integrating her passions with food and chemistry, Theresa joined the flavor chemistry lab. She intends to enter the industry after her graduate education.
Her childhood heroes are Bill Nye “The Science Guy” and Alton Brown. When it’s not snowing, Theresa enjoys biking. At home, Theresa enjoys spending time with her cat named Curie.
